1. Overview
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the What2Eat?! mobile application (“the App”). By using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be 13 years or older to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Account Registration
To use the App, you must create an account with a valid email address. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Keep your credentials secure
- Accept responsibility for all actions under your account
We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or violations of these Terms.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
Certain features require a paid subscription (Pro or Chef). All payments are handled through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit.
We do not process or store payment card data. Refunds, if applicable, must be handled through Apple.
Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled in your App Store settings.
5. AI-Generated Content
The App uses automated systems to generate recipes based on your inputs. You acknowledge that recipe outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, or unsuitable.
Recipes may include:
- Incorrect ingredient quantities
- Unsafe or incorrect cooking temperatures
- Missing preparation steps
- Ingredients that do not exist or do not fit your dietary restrictions
6. No Professional Advice
The App does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary, or professional cooking advice. All content is for informational and entertainment purposes only.
7. User Responsibilities
You are fully responsible for verifying the accuracy and safety of any recipe generated by the App. This includes:
- Safe food handling and preparation
- Checking for allergens
- Ensuring proper cooking times and temperatures
- Preventing cuts, burns, fires, or injuries
- Confirming suitability for your health or diet
You use the App entirely at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, What2Eat?!, BlueBear Berlin, and its affiliates are not liable for any damages related to the use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Food poisoning or illness
- Allergic reactions
- Kitchen damage or fires
- Burns, injuries, or accidents
- Incorrect, incomplete, or unsafe recipes
- Wasted ingredients or financial loss
- Data loss or account issues
If liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the last 12 months (excluding Apple fees).
9. App Availability
We may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time. We are not responsible for service interruptions, outages, or data loss caused by third-party services, maintenance, or unforeseen issues.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Misuse or abuse the App
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or modify the App
- Interfere with system operations or security
- Use the App for commercial purposes
- Upload harmful, illegal, or abusive content
- Bypass paid subscription restrictions
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, engaging in abuse, or for security or legal reasons. You may delete your account at any time.
12. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, designs, and code within the App are the property of BlueBear Berlin and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the App.
13. Third-Party Services
The App relies on trusted third-party services for cloud storage, authentication, subscription validation, and automated content generation. Each provider maintains its own privacy and security policies.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms. The latest version will always be available at:

15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of German courts.
